Next LoS: Top 50 US States

Send me your lists, 1-25. Deadline will be two weeks from now. Couple of points

1. DC is not a state. It is a district.
2. If you live outside of the US, please consider sending in a list anyway based on whatever criteria you have.
3. If you have friends, give them my e-mail or have them PM me their list here.
4. Guam, Puerto Rico, etc. are not states
5. Do not vote for dumb shit like "state of confusion"

That is all. This is a LoS by yours truly, so if we get enough people to participate I'll keep doing them and putting a totally unnecessary amount of effort into making the list interesting/funny.

It'll still work out that way. This way, an especially shitty state can be listed as 0 of 30 lists, 0 points or whatever.

ok, but if two exceptionally shitty states (say, oh, new hampshire and oklahoma) get left off everyone's list, there will be no way to determine 49th or 50th. this list, more than any, would be the best place to take advantage of the fixed number of states. I'd be happy to help tally if need be.

This might be a list I sit out. My number one state would be Indiana because I live there. After that, they would be ranked completely at random.

Yeah, there's got to be decent reasons why you'd think certain states were better than others. Politics, sports, culture, nature, anything. Please participate!

It's difficult for me to rank an entire state based on liking the Cubs and Chicago style pizza over the Yankees and thin crust (note: Illinois would probably get second for those two reasons).

i don't think two states will get left off everyone's list. i doubt one state will. i gave kentucky a vote because of the song "blue moon of kentucky" and i can't think of 25 states i care about more than i care about that song (which isn't much)

I don't really think they will either (I voted for Delaware, so that's covered), I just think that the beauty of this list is that there are no outliers, that every state would be ranked somewhere by everyone.
